Raise your hand if your “new semester, new me” energy has fizzled out. Much like many of you, I’m also raising both my arms like I’m an amusement ride fanatic anticipating a massive roller coaster drop.
I’m still, surprisingly, keeping up with my planner. It actually gives me a moment to recharge every week and practice mindfulness. I walked through my layout in last week’s post.
Here is my layout for this week. This week’s theme is “great things never come from your comfort zone.” Although I constantly preach growth and challenging fear, I have recently found that I need a more concrete push to continue this process. For me, this involves preparing for my exams in a more spread-out manner, carving out time to do enjoyable things, and incorporating mindfulness into my routine. Some of these changes feel daunting to face head-on, but I jotted down the affirmation: “feel scared but do it anyway.”
For this week, I’m focusing on starting to prepare for my exams next week and carving out a few minutes for mindfulness every day. Good luck with the rest of the semester and for your projects; I hope to see you next week!
